Acquisitions
The faculty is encouraged to recommend purchases which will contribute to the growth of the library collection. The Acquisitions Unit maintains a systematic procedure for purchasing and processing all monographic materials. When deemed necessary, book requests are sent to publishers for direct orders. This unit also assist with the cataloging of library materials.
Bindery Services
Library personnel processes all books and periodicals needing maintenance or repair services.
Cataloging
Cataloging incorporates books and some state/federal documents into a classified and cataloged collection using the Library of Congress Classification System. The Library of Congress Subject Headings is used for preparing subject entries in the online public access catalog (e.g., Millennium) for books and some federal documents.
